life in jakarta

whew this is a long overdue post.

i arrived here in jakarta last feb23. so kamusta naman. ano naman ang pinaggawa ko dito?

1) job interviews
last feb27, went to 2 job interviews. may offers pero until now hindi pa naayos ang work permit so may possibility na hindi matuloy. ill disclose details once everything is final na.

2) yoga
hehe cguro once a week palang. nung first time kong tnry, sobrang sumakit ang mga muscles ko. matagal na kasi silang dormant.

3) dibidis
watched the ff films:
a. babel - mas gusto ko to kesa crash plus the hotness that is gael garcia bernal!
b. blood diamond - interesting na movie, galing ni leo
c. click - hotness that is kate beckinsale
d. the queen - very very interesting, galing nga ni helen mirren
e. pan's labyrinth - galing ng cinematography, set design, effects, un overall look, interesting
f. dreamgirls - galing nga ni jen hudson pero mejo hindi nameet ng movie yun expectations ko
g. friends with money - ang totoo niya. i love the conversations. reminds me of kopi
h. the departed - ok sobrang kept me on the edge of my seat!
i. little miss sunshine - wow sobrang okay na film! witty, charming, engaging hehe
j. black dahlia - mejo naguluhan at naweirduhan ako sa plot niya.. pero cute si josh hartnett at nagulat ako dahil hotness si hilary swank in fairness

4) shopping
saya there's a mall mga 5-10 minutes lang from our house (Pondok Indah Mall), tapos went to factory outlets and bought a lot of bags. plus siyempre mga tops from ate's store Kamiseta. hehe.

5) tambay sa bahay
watch E! (dapat updated sa celebrity gossip!), ANTM Cycle 7, Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty, Parental Control, Pimp My Ride, Room Raiders, The Suite Life with Zack and Cody:)

6) met a famous Indonesian indie director Nia de Nata. She lent me her film "Janji Joni". okay cia interesting. plus alam niya yung Magnifico, Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Olivares, Kubrador etc. galing. She also recommended places to visit. I have only been to Aksara (bookstore/cafe) pero wala pa rin tatalo sa Kopi!

7) went to a housewarming party ng German couple (na friend lang ng friend namin) where my conversation and people skills were put to the test.

8) went dancing at Blowfish, a popular club daw in Jakarta. mejo pricey though around 80,000 rupiah inclusive of 1 drink (thats P480!). at mejo strict sila sa dresscode. ang weird may mga kinky dancers pa.

9) got harassed by 2 %#$*@#% policemen. they got my phone.

10) missing kopi, kaya toast, blackpencil, lgv, katipunan, ateneo, galera and most especially the Kopi Gang.

so yun. that's my life in jakarta. so far.
