Dear Mavie, Mars and Bea,
Today’s deliberations opened with your research proposal. Congratulations! All members of the panel only had good words about the timely and relevant and theoretically grounded topic, and the good write-up. They also thought the choice of tabloids was excellent: it jibes with the purposes of the course and responds to the realities we need to address in these trying times. Not any one of the proposals discussed today met with such favor among the panelists. One minor comment: the period of study should end on the day of the elections which was May 10. Otherwise let’s discuss details next week. All the best, thanks for the good work, and keep it up.
